Fast billing!
There are some clever ideas meant to make your life easier. Drive-up
is one of them. Created by PLV-concept, a company from Brest in
France, this poster-hanging system enables you to raise or lower
a poster from 7m high in the ceiling of sales areas. No more stools
or ladders, the use of which requires restricting an area of your
store to the public!
Thanx to the Drive-up telescopic pole, activated by an internal
rechargeable battery, this operation is done in a few minutes!

POPAI 2006 - INNOVATION RULES
Between the 14th and the 16th of November 2006, the 160 exhibitors
of the POPAI European Awards (Marketing at retail exihibition) have
been visited by more than 7552 people. This sector of activity has
always been an emerging and inventive one but this year the manufacturers
have shown a special interest in finding more ecological and accesible
solutions to ease work in the SMIs..
DRIVE-UP
Installing a large poster in a very high ceiling of a shopping mall
or a supermarket used to require the use of ladders, stools or lift
trucks and restricting the area to the public while changing the
poster. Specialized in commercial billing and poster adevertising,
the PLV-concept company from Brest, has come up with a revolutionary
product, the DRIVE-UP. The disposal is innovative, yet, very simple:
the motor enabling the roller poster profile to go up to 7m high
is powered, through a simple touch, by the telescopic pole, containing
a 9.6 volts rechargeable battery. No need for electrical installations
in the ceiling, no need to close the area to the public either;
changing a poster takes no more than a couple of minutes!
Presented at the Popai Awards, the MLS (Motorised Lifting System)
extends the Drive-up’s technical capacities, by being able
to lift a 30kg weight and a 6 sq. m. poster up to 10m high!

TOP BILLING
FOR DRIVE-UP
PLV Concept, an SMB from Brest specialised in billboards and advertising
for points of sale, has just introduced to the market a product
which revolutionizes billing. Dont climb up to change your posters,
make them come down to you! PLV concept has finally solved the problem
of hanging and changing posters at high level in shops and places
open to the public (railway stations, airports, etc.). Thanks to
Drive-up, a stand-alone poster lifting system, posters can be hung
or lowered to the ground with ease (at weights of up to 9 kg and
heights of up to 7 m). Before the emergence of drive-up, installing
posters in superstores was subject to significant constraints: using
a step ladder or scissor platform during which trading could be
restricted or the store closed in the interests of safety. Now,
with Drive-up changing posters is very simple and does not require
any electrical installations. The innovation of Drive-up is the
9.6 V rechargeable power supply in the telescopic pole. This enables
you to raise and lower the posters remotely from ground level in
order to change them. Also, since the power supply is contained
in the pole, the drive-up units can be placed anywhere in the ceiling
as they have no need for electrical installations. The 3 main advantages
of using Drive-up are: A considerable saving of time (2 minutes
are sufficient for changing the poster). A single untrained person
can easily change the poster during opening hours even in the presence
of customers. Finally, operation is safe and secure because you
no longer have to climb up to reach your poster, it comes down to
you! Innovative and smart, Drive-up has already been adopted by
many big retail companies (with already more than 10,000 installations).
Patented in 2003, Drive-up has won the “Popai Bronze for innovation”
prize and more recently the prize for “innovation of the year” at
the Visual Com exhibition in Madrid. With the constant concern of
meeting their customers’ requirements, PLV Systems decided to launch
a new product: MLS (Motorized Lift System). It is similar to the
Drive-up concept (restricted to 9 kg) but is intended for major
billing or decoration surfaces. MLS can lift from 20 to 30 kilograms
and can raise or lower posters measuring more than 60 square metres
to more than 10 metres high. SLM overcomes the 9kg restriction of
the standard drive-up (which is ideal for shops and supermarkets)
and now offers up to 30 Kg lifting weight, enabling customers to
display posters of up to square metres. This meets the requirements
for displays in large public spaces where much bigger posters are
necessary. |

Innovation
and projects
Patented in april 2003, Drive-up is a stand-alone poster lifting
system which doesn’t require the use of ladders or stools. The principle
is simple: the poster is connected to a tube which contains a small
engine. With a pole containing a Ni-Cd battery, the system allows
lowering and raising the poster. Much faster and safer than the
classical systems it is already being used by a large number of
supermarkets and by DHL, for its stocking installations. |

An electical poster-lifting system
Thanks to its electrical pole, the Drive-up system allows you to easily
change posters in your store. All you have to do is install the tube
containing the electrical device and connect the posters to the two
wires coming out from the tube. The electrical pole will bring down
or raise the poster. |

An electrical poster-lifting
system
Drive-up is the first stand-alone poster-holder system. It enables
easily changing poster advertising, higly suspended in the ceiling.
There is no need for electrical wiring, the system is powered by the
stand-alone pole. Inside its aluminium tube, you can find one or two
electrical engines. The drive-up disposal can be hung very high on
the ceiling of the store (it goes from 2.5m to 12m). You must hang
the roller-poster profile from the wires coming out of the Drive-up.
The system is handled from the ground, by a telescopic pole containing
a rechargeable battery. Hanging up your advertising posters can be
five times faster.
For more safety : when the poster weight exceeds 5kg, the pole unhooks
automatically

DRIVE-UP, nominated at the POPAI
awards
Being nominated at a prestigious European contest is a good spring-board
for this five months-old company!
DRIVE-UP is the first stand-alone electrical poster hanging system. This
revolutionary disposal enables you to easily change poster advertising,
no matter how high in the ceiling you want your posters to be displayed.
It is also a much safer operation, since it does not require using
ladders or stolls to change posters, its electrical system makes the
posters come down to you. |

Make room for the electrical
poster-hanger!
The world keeps on making progresses! In order to avoid climbing on
a ladder to change a poster, a young company from Brest, called PLV-concept
invented a stand-alone poster lyfting system.
Thanx to its aluminium wires and an electrical pole, even an untrained
person can easily raise and lower the posters from ground level. Several
giants of the mass distribution such as Leclerc or Leroy Merlin are
already using this practical and absolutely ingenious system which
is also present in shopping malls or convention centers. |
